Daniel's Mission Begins

It was early Christmas morning as Johnathan, Joseph, and Hannah entered from the outside cold into the barn to do their chores. The force of the night's storm had ebbed into a beautiful, light snowfall. As they entered the barn they were unaware of the visitor who laid buried at the top of the haystack above them and felt relief to escape the bitter outside cold. The thick walls of the barn were packed solidly with straw, which insulated the barn well and made it so the body heat of the animals alone was enough to keep the barn sufficiently warm in the wintertime. The boys each lit a lamp and began their chores by feeding hay to the cows while Hannah placed grain in the feeder troughs for the milk cows. The cows moved into their stanchions and the boys locked their heads in place. Then Johnathan and Joseph settled onto their milking stools to begin their milking duties.

Together they milked six cows. The cows produced enough milk and cheese for their family as well as for several neighbors. As the boys milked, Hannah fed grain to the chickens, ducks, and geese and then gathered the fresh warm eggs. She loved the sounds of the swish, swish, swish and to see the froth rise in the milk buckets as her brothers milked the cows. However, she sensed the cows were unusually nervous this morning and she began to sing a low and soothing song to help them feel calm. As the cows calmed they more easily released their milk to the gentle pressure of the boys hands into the waiting buckets below.

Steam from the milk filled the air. Its warm rich smell created a sensation that all was good, wholesome, and well in the world. Joseph and Johnathan each had very strong hands and as they milked, a few kittens came out of their hiding places and lined up for a swish of milk. The boys were excellent marksmen and would direct streams of milk into the mouths of the waiting kittens. It was always fun to watch the their faces become soaked in milk as they hungrily and greedily lapped at the streams of milk. Their little tongues licked joyfully until the boys returned to their duties, then the kittens licked each other clean.

This morning while squirting milk into the kittens mouths, Joseph purposely squirted too far and some milk landed on Johnathan's face. Johnathan squealed and then squirted Joeseph and almost got Hannah too, but she was too quick and jumped just in time to escape a milk dowsing. The children loved the farm, feeding the animals, and feeling life and strength flow through their bodies. While they pranked one another and had fun, they always did it with loving mischievousness and never to hurt one another.

The children were very excited to finish their chores this morning. After the chores were complete, mom would have hot chocolate and a hearty and festive Christmas breakfast ready for them. After breakfast the family would gather by the Christmas tree and hearth and Dad would recite the Christmas story. Then each family member would share fun memories and would relive fun pranks, kind acts of service to one another, and retell the many adventures they had enjoyed together during the past year.

Each would then take turns unwrapping presents from under the Christmas tree. This was never a hurried affair; but time was taken to enjoy the excitement of each gift before opening other gifts. Sometimes the opening of presents would last all day. For example, the previous Christmas, each of the children received beautifully crafted homemade sleighs. The children were so excited that before opening another gift they each dawned their snow clothing and went sledding for a few hours. Then they returned inside to enjoy a festive Christmas lunch before opening the rest of their presents. The pattern of excitement, gifts, fun, and food repeated itself unhurriedly until evening, when the last presents opened were soft, thick homemade pajamas. Then mom and dad would tuck them in and dad would relate a story until each was fast asleep. All was enjoyable, natural, and filled with love.

Hannah loved to feed the barn animals while the boys milked the cows. She gave each of the cows an extra portion of oats this morning; then she also gave the sheep, goats, and horses a little more than usual. She also gave the chickens extra grain before beginning her favorite chore--the gathering of fresh, warm eggs. The chickens had been so nervous because of the presence of the unknown visitor, that they had laid only a few eggs. Hannah searched hard to find the usual allotment of eggs; she could not understand why there were so few to be found as she searched all the usual hiding places.

As she searched, she told her brothers that she couldn't find where the chickens had laid their eggs and that the usual places were empty. Her brothers were nearly done milking and volunteered to help her. They each worked there way around and over the haystack until together they met at the top of the haystack. Joseph said, "Somebody has moved the hay about up here; it is not the way I left it last night when we did the chores." Then, they each spied something beneath the hay, and there protruding from the hay was the nose of an animal, the likes of which they had never seen before.

Daniel slept soundly as his body recovered from his long, cold, wintry flight; he breathed deep, weary breaths and his sides rose and gently fell with each breath. Then Joseph said, "An animal must have come into the barn to escape the storm during the night." Johnathan said, "Hannah, this is why the chickens did not lay eggs and the cows were so nervous when we began milking this morning." The children agreed and each was excited to learn who their new guest was. No hungry person or animal was ever turned away from their farm. The children were tempted to awake their visitor, but instead decided to let him sleep and to make him feel welcome.

Johnny suggested they haul a trough to the top of the hay and fill it with warm milk. They did so and Hannah also made a small pile of apples next to the trough. She didn't know that apples were one of Daniel's favorite foods, but she did know that all the farm animals loved apples. They quickly finished their chores and excitedly returned to the house.

Before breakfast even began the children shared their morning experience with their mother and father. Curiosity was so great that a decision was made to check on the new animal before they began their traditional Christmas breakfast. Mother then shared a dream she had the night before, about a beautiful city and of a golden-haired boy with blue eyes that she believed would become a part of their family. She wasn't sure how this could happen because her child-bearing years were over.

Dad and each of the children were stunned, for they too experienced the dream. They wondered aloud together what it might mean. As they did so, Daniel awoke in the barn to the smell of rich milk and apples. He looked about and could tell someone had left food for him and knew from this kindness shown to him that he had come to a place where there were kind humans.

Just then, the barn door opened and in walked the first people Daniel had every seen. They were startled to see him for they had never seen an animal quite like him before. He shimmered and sparked; his face was both terrible and wonderful. Although it was obvious that he was still young, his body was muscular and as he stretched forth his wings and then folded them back to his sides each family member gasped in amazement. Then, before their already astonished eyes, his appearance changed and standing before them upon the haystack stood the golden-haired boy from their dreams. As in the dream, he appeared to be even younger than Johnathan, Hannah, or Joseph.

There was a silent and somewhat confused and fearful pause; sensing their fearm= Daniel said, "Fear not." Father was the first to speak. He welcomed the special visitor and asked him who he was and where he had come from. Daniel then said, "My name is Daniel; I am the last wild and free dragon in the world and the first to seek to befriend humans in more than a thousand years." "My mother is the oldest dragon alive in the world, but is not free; she is held captive by cunning men who seek her treasure."

"She has been a protector of special humans who have lived at various times upon the earth." "Although she is imprisoned, she speaks to me in my mind and heart and visits me in my dreams." "She sent me to serve, teach, and protect your family as you learn the ways of the longest living humans the world has ever known."

There was stunned silence and thoughts swirled even more rapidly until Mother said, "Welcome to our farm Daniel; would you like to come into our home and join us for our Christmas Breakfast?" Daniel smiled and thanked her, and then took his first steps in his human form. He broke the awkward silence and confusion further as he tumbled down the hay to rest at their feet, a pile of grass landing upon his head. His boyish and sheepish grin caused everyone to relax for the first time since he had been discovered.

Hannah laughed and helped him to his feet. Daniel then walked with the family out of the barn, through the snow, and then into the house. It wasn't a cave, but was warm, comfortable, and loving shelter unlike any he had ever seen before. The aromas were delicious; the decorations were beautiful, and he was even more astonished than the family. Suddenly, the months away from his mother, the memories of times with his forrest friends, and all that he had learned in such a short time, as well as the extraordinary nighttime wintry flight each weighed upon him heavily and he began to sob the tears of a boy who was far too young to have experienced so much so very soon in his life.

Although he missed his mother terribly, his new human mother had the same kind and gentle heart. She placed her arms around him and lifted him onto her lap. He laid his head against her and let the strain and weariness of the past months ebb from his body as he wept. As he did so, a special connection was formed between Daniel and his new mother and family. As his memories played out in his own mind, they each saw in their mind's eye much of the short life that Daniel had lived, how he had survived without his mother, and why he was there in their home. Together with his help they would one day become a part of the beautiful city from their nighttime dream. Daniel had come to help them prepare themselves for this purpose. The whole family gathered around Daniel and hugged him as if he had always been one of their own.

Then, they enjoyed Christmas breakfast and each of the family ate their breakfast through the eyes of their new son and brother who had never eaten with humans before. Daniel relished his first Breakfast Veggie Omelet and his hearty Breakfast Porridge (click on links and ask your mother to learn how make this breakfast so you too can learn to eat like Daniel). Daniel knew he had come to just the right home; he was being fed just the way his mother had taught him that he must eat, if he wanted to grow to be a strong and noble dragon and if he wanted to enjoy sufficient health to fulfill his life's mission.

His human mother had creatively mixed nutritious vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, and grains into the two delicious dishes. As he ate, Daniel felt the strength that had been exhausted during his nighttime flight, being restored to his body. His mission had begun and he was at peace!

Be sure to ask your mother to feed you the breakfast Daniel enjoyed so you will be ready to learn what happens next in Daniel's Adventures!

Important Dragon Secrets

Did you know that pure-hearted and holy dragons live together in happy communities where no dragons live without shelter or food. Living in such communities helps them to enjoy a special benefit - to live forever.

Such dragons have the ability to ask for and to receive all things they need from their creator, including all temporal needs - such as food and shelter. They don't need treasures or money for anything, except as ornaments to make things beautiful.

For example, they may choose to use gold to create beautiful streets, or diamonds and rubies to accentuate beautiful design of structures. But treasures are never used to buy things. There is no need to buy what God is willing to give freely to those who ask.

To receive God's gifts in such a manner, it is important to become pure and holy. How can dragons who do not live forever, become pure-hearted and holy? They must learn to become like their creator, who is perfect and holy - by attaining each of the characteristics, attributes, and perfections of God

What follows is the Path of Holiness. If you learn the process for becoming holy, you can prepare yourself to live in a community such as the one described above. If you do not engage in this process, you will never enjoy this blessing!

  • Obedience: The process begins with obedience to principles of kindness, mercy, patience, long-suffering, perfect judgment, and so forth. As Daniel was kind to the birds, he found that instead of their being suspicious of him, they trusted him. Had Daniel been greedy and taken the fruit the birds were eating, they would not have trusted him.
  • Sacrifice: Sometimes being obedient to a principle may required great sacrifice. Daniel was hungry and needed some fruit to eat, but he sacrificed what he could have easily done; he was bigger than the birds and could have scared them away to eat their food. Instead he sacrificed his immediate desire to eat and dug in the snow, uncovering more fruit - for both he and the birds to eat. By sacrificing his immediate needs, Daniel gained trust that will later serve him well in our story.
  • Faith: As Daniel experienced the blessings of kindness, he gained faith that to be kind as God is kind is something he should do always. Because of what he learned through obedience and sacrifice, Daniel could now exercise faith to become perfectly kind through repentance.
  • Repentance: this is the striving process to continue to do something until you master it and it becomes a part of you. From time to time Daniel may not be perfectly kind, but because he now has faith that it is right and good to always be kind as God is kind, he can repent when he makes unkind mistakes and keep striving to become kind.
  • Covenant with God: If Daniel wants to become perfectly kind, he must covenant with God to exercise faith and repentance for as long as it takes to become perfect in kindness. As Daniel keeps his covenant and continues striving to be kind, a day will come when he no longer needs to strive to be kind, but will become kindness itself, just as God is kindness itself.
  • God Covenants with You: God promises Daniel that as long as he continues to exercise faith unto repentance by striving his best to be kind, God will send His Spirit to teach Daniel more perfectly how to become kindness. As long as Daniel continues faithfully to strive to be kind, God will continue to teach him how to be so and at last a time will come when through grace, added to grace, Daniel will become kindness itself, just as God is Kindness.
  • Creation and Cleanliness: As Daniel becomes perfectly kind, God expects Daniel to create more kindness in the world, and he must protect this beautiful gift that God has helped him attain. With every gift of God, there is a law of creation and chastity associated with that gift. By keeping such laws, gifts never becomes adulterated. Although Daniel is to create more kindness in the world, he is never to misuse or adulterate this gift. For example, he is never to use kindness to obtain riches. Similarly, most people and dragons come to the earth with a gift inside of them to procreate and produce offspring. God commands us to never use this gift of procreation with anyone other than our lifetime mates. If we do so, then we adulterate the gift of procreation and have no promise that we will keep this gift when we return to God. Each and every gift you receive has associated laws that you must obey, in order to keep your gift forever.
  • Purpose of Gifts: In addition to keeping the laws associated with each of God's gifts, dragons and people must use sacred and holy gifts to bless and serve others and to turn others fully to God - who then teaches them how to become like Him and how to engage in this sacred process of receiving gifts from Him.

As others turn fully to God, He then teaches and instructs them, and begins to send His Spirit to them to help shape their lives, as he is doing with Daniel. Initial obedience to God's Spirit enables the obedient to begin the journey Daniel has already begun.

This is the path for becoming holy. Just as Daniel's mother taught him in a dream to obey God's Spirit, the Path of Holiness begins with your obedience to God. As you choose to go down this path, God will bless you with sacred and important gifts and someday you will be able to live in a community of other pure-hearted individuals, such as the one described above.

    Diet of Long-Living Dragons

Long-living dragons eat primarily the herbs and the fruits of the earth. These include fruits, leafy greens, solid green vegetables, all other vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Also, they only eat animal-based foods during cold winter months or in times of famine, and even during these months they use it sparingly, unless there are no other foods available. Let's look more closely at the foods dragons eat:
    1. Water: Dragons drink plenty of water every day, as should people who should drink at least 1/2 gallon of high-quality water daily.
    2. Leafy Greens: these include wild and edible herbs, leafy green spinaches and lettuces, and for dragons it also includes the grasses of the earth. Leafy Greens possess more nutrients per calorie than all other foods but they only provide a few calories and need to be complimented by higher energy foods such as rice, beans, nuts, and seeds to create a satiating salad. Dragons eat at least one of these salads daily.
    3. Cooked Leafy Greens & Veggies: Long-living dragons also eat at least one dish of cooked leafy greens that might also include edible onions, mushrooms, and other vegetables.
    4. Legumes (Beans): Long-living dragons love to boil soups and stews that are filled with beans and vegetables and to eat one very satisfying serving of cooked bean soups or stews daily. As you look at some of these dragon dishes, be sure to try Daniel's Chili:)
    5. Raw Veggies: Long-living dragons eat all the fresh raw vegetables they can each day (see video). They like to include many colors of the rainbow, such as solid vegetables that are green, white, red, yellow, purple, orange and so forth. Each color is made by important and specific nutrients that are inside the vegetable.
    6. Sweet Fruits: Dragons love things that are sweet, but long-living dragons stay away from all man-made products that include refined and artificial sweeteners. Instead then enjoy a few pieces of fresh fruit each day to satisfy their desire for sweets. Some dragons have even learned how to make fun fruited shakes, ice cream, and desserts. Dragons that have gotten hooked on manmade sugars have found that sugar demineralizes the body, destroys bones and teeth, and weakens the immune system.
    7. Animal-Based Foods: During the warm months of the year when there are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, dragons don't eat animals at all. During cold and winter months they eating stored winter fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds, and hold their intake of animal-based foods to about 10 to 15 percent of their calories. Only during famines when other foods are unavailable do dragons eat larger portions of animal-based foods. Click on the link above to better understand why the longest-living dragons don't eat lots and lots of animal-based foods.
Remember, all artificial foods and sweeteners made from laboratory chemicals are fake foods that are very hard and disruptive to the metabolisms of both people and dragons and should never, ever, be eaten. Dragons who eat these foods get colds, flues, and all sorts of sicknesses because of the stress they cause which weakens the immune systems of both dragons and humans.
It is important for people to know about how dragons eat and drink to be healthy because the same rules for health apply to both dragons people. Be sure to click on the links above to enjoy videos that teach how to make really tasty and healthful foods!

      How Long Do Dragons Live?

      Pure-Hearted Holy Dragons
Pure-hearted dragons can live forever if they eat right, exercise regularly, and if they use their gifts and talents to serve and bless others, and if they live in communities where every dragon has everything needed to sustain life - such as food, shelter, and love from others.

In such communities, everything needed to exist is provided freely to them by the creator. They neither purchase nor sell anything for money. In these happy societies, each dragon gives of his or her gifts and talents freely as their contribution to the happiness and welfare of the community. This is done purely by choice and no dragon is compelled to do anything against its will. These dragons live in a perpetual state of gratitude and happiness.

      Impure Lessor Dragons
Dragons who do not become pure-hearted and live within communities as described above, live only 77 years on average. These dragons spend much of their lives selling their time gifts, and talents to other dragons in exchange for money and treasures of the earth. Such dragons spend little time with their families because they spend so much time trying to get enough money to buy the things they need. They believe life must be lived this way, and cannot even comprehend the Utopian societies that once existed upon this earth. Nor do they ever experience true and lasting happiness. Life is hard for such dragons and they die very young.
Like dragons, people can become pure-hearted and holy and come to enjoy a beautiful way of life that has been enjoyed by past Utopian societies. Some of these societies still exist, but have been removed from the earth for a season, because of the unkindnesses and selfishness that now exists upon the earth. In our story you will learn how Daniel seeks to restore a balance of goodness and kindness to this earth.

              Introduction to Daniel's Adventures

Daniel, the last wild and free dragon, stood at the entrance to his mother's cave high above the valley floor. For many months Daniel had waited for his mother to return to the valley, but she had been captured, imprisoned, and was no longer free. In a dream his mother had told him there were things that he must do before he could set her free, and that he needed to leave the valley and go out into the world in order to do them. It was time for him to leave the only home he had ever known.

It was dark outside and the stars shone brightly in the night's sky. All of Daniel's forest friends were fast asleep as he leaped from the ledge of his mother's cave into the lonely night's wintry skies. It was snowing lightly as he began his flight out of the valley. Although he did not know exactly where he was going, he flew over one mountain and valley to another and yet another and into the night. His heart guided him through the long night and his mother was with him to comfort and assure him. As he flew he pondered the many happy memories of his forrest friends. Also as Daniel flew onward into the night, the light snows increased into a blizzard.

Daniel reflected upon the months his mother had been gone; whenever he truly needed her, he only had to turn his thoughts to her and ask for the help he needed. She would comfort him and speak to his mind and heart; she also visited him in dreams to provide further comfort and guidance. In his most recent dream that caused him to take flight into the night, Daniel had been so happy to see her; it was as if she were really with him. She said to him, "Even though we are far apart, I will be with you always and will help guide you on your journey; as long as you remember me and do not forget me I can speak to you in your mind and heart and visit you in your dreams--whenever you need me!" Daniel loves his mother very much and is so grateful for her love and guidance. As he flew into the night he sent thoughts and feelings to his mother about the pure love he felt toward her.

A lot had happened to Daniel since his mother had been captured and imprisoned. He had been too young to fly or breathe fire before she had gone. He hadn't even ever left the cave, except to peer from its ledge into the valley far below. But during the months she had been gone, he had learned to fly, to find food, to breathe fire, and he had become a trusted friend of the forrest animals in the valley.

It was his mother that had first suggested to his mind to observe how the forrest creatures find food. He had watched a squirrel disappear down a tree trunk beneath the snow and reappear with a pinecone that was filled with pine nuts. He learned from animals that lived beneath the snow, how to find grasses and seeds that were blanketed by the snow. Birds had taught him to find berries and fruits. As he observed the other forrest animals, they had taught him where and how to find food beneath the winter snows, or in bushes and trees. He had also helped them, shared with them, and never taken or stolen from them. Many times he had chased predators from the valley. He had also organized their efforts to store more food for the winter than anyone of them could have done had he not so carefully united their efforts.

Daniel and his forrest friends had grown to love and trust each other and to work together for the common good of each animal that lived within the valley. Under Daniel's watchful eye they had become the happiest and safest animals on earth. However, in his dream he had learned that he could not do the things he must do, without leaving the valley to befriend humans. This was a dangerous task, for no dragon has successfully befriended a human in over a thousand years.

Since his mother's capture, Daniel is the only free and wild dragon remaining in the world, and even though he wants to free his mother more than anything else, she told him not to attempt to find or free her until after he completes his mission. Only by completing his mission will he become sufficiently prepared and strengthened to both find and free her. If he is not sufficiently prepared, Daniel will also be captured and there will never be another free and wild dragon upon the earth. These thoughts strengthened his determination as he flew even further into the night.

Daniel's mother told him that he must befriend good-hearted humans and successfully teach them how to receive pure hearts. His mother had taught him that any human that receives a pure heart also receives a renewed body that is strengthened sufficiently to be able to live for about a thousand years. The average dragon and human lives fewer than 80 years. Daniel's job was a big one because the hearts and minds of men had become corrupted through priestcrafts that had spread throughout the entire earth. Even the most pure men lived in error because of priestcrafts.

Daniel had been taught by his mother that priestcrafts are when humans set themselves up as a light unto the world for the purpose of obtaining wealth and power. Rather than turning others to the creator for light and truth, practitioners of priestcraft conspire to gain a profitable advantage over others. Through greed, they jealously guard their "authoritative" light. The earth has been filled with priestcraft for so long, that not a single living soul on the earth remembers how life is supposed to be lived.

Not one person today remembers how to receive every temporal need from God. Rather, men run about afraid what will become of them if they have no money. They have replaced a trust in God with a trust in money and seeking to get gain and to "make a living" has become considered normal and right. No man today really knows how to receive "all" temporal needs from God without, as did ancient Israel.

Daniel's mother had lived on earth since its beginning and had known and been friends with pure-hearted humans. She had even been a protector of various utopian societies that were groups of people where everyone in the group was pure-hearted. She told Daniel that there are no rich or poor in utopian societies and that people do not even use money or seek to exchange or barter their goods with one another. Rather; just as the animals, plants, and trees in the valley that is Daniel's home, they all contribute toward the common good of the society. Each receives according to pure wants and needs. There is no measuring of individual contributions for the purpose of exchange and there is no greed. No one takes or uses more than they need, and each member of the society cares as much about one another as they care about themselves.

The only measurements that occur in such societies is to evaluate how one is doing within their own stewardship. For instance, one may contribute beautiful music, another poetry, another food, and another clothing or shelter. Stewardships are accounted for to determine what the needs are of the individual to enable them to more fully magnify their stewardship. Also, to determine if the person is desirous and able to increase his or her stewardship in order to contribute even more to the society. No one chooses a stewardship that they do not fully love and that does not bring them great happiness as they serve others with their gifts. For example, a true builder considers the personality and the gifts of each person for which he is building. Each new edifice built is perfectly customized to the uniqueness of individuals.

All service is provided out of love and is shared and received with love. No money is exchanged and no energy is waisted seeking or planning how one will get along in the world. Life is a gift as are the gifts and talents and contributions of each member of the society. Truly, such people love one another as they love themselves and cannot even imagine having to live without another member of the society. For example, if the musician did not have everything he or she needed to be able to contribute inspiring and extraordinary music, then the builder of the musician's home would not be the beneficiary of the great and wondrous music.

Similar to each member of the human body, each member of utopian societies fulfill vital roles. Just as the eye does not say to the foot, "I have no need of thee," neither does the builder say to the musician, "I have no need of thee." Rather, each member in the society is an integral part of a perfect whole, just as every part of the body makes up a complete and whole body. Utopian societies are the happiest on earth. Just as the body cares for the hands with as much love as it cares for the eyes or the mouth, so too do members of utopian societies care for and look after one another.

Daniel's mother explained that no such people or society can exist unless each member has a perfectly pure heart. It is Daniel's mission to teach humans how to become perfectly pure and to be restored in mind, heart, and body until they become as the noble and intelligent patriarchs of olden times, who each roamed the earth for nearly a thousand years. Daniel's mother had been a protector of utopians against impure people who were jealous of utopian wealth and abundance. From time to time impure people would mount attacks upon utopian societies out of a desire to take their possessions. Daniel's mother had fought the battles of many utopians, insomuch that they did not even need weapons to defend themselves.

However, man eventually became so evil that the creator of heaven and earth removed the pure societies from the earth for a time. It has been 1800 years since a utopian society has existed on earth and since dragons lived among humans. Most people now think dragons are mythical creatures of superstition and legend and that they have never really existed. But dragons do live and do exist. It is Daniel's mission to teach people who want to learn, how to return to the ways of these former and happier times. Daniel will teach some people how to become pure hearted and how to live after the true manner of happiness and how to live to the age of a tree. As he flew through the night, he felt much gratitude toward his animal friends who had helped him to be so happy and not so quite alone after his mother had been taken. He hoped to befriend some humans who would become as dear to him as his forrest friends.

When Daniel could fly no further he circled lower and lower into a valley looking for a suitable place to land. Because he couldn't see through the blizzard, he followed his heart until at last he landed before a barn that was on a farm that belonged to a kind family of humans. Daniel had never seen a barn before, but sensed the presence of animals inside and sought for an opening into the barn to escape the night's storm. He pushed through a door and went inside. The animals in the barn were restless and did not recognize the scent of a wild dragon. The cattle lowed, the chickens fidgeted upon their roosts, and the horses nickered.

Daniel was too tired, too cold, and too weary to try making new friends this night--with either man or animal. He spotted a very tall pile of what looked like dried grasses and flew to the top of the pile; then, scratched out a comfortable place in the hay to lay down. Before falling fast asleep Daniel buried himself in the hay to protect himself from the cold; then he slept. In the house near the barn a family also slept, unaware of their visitor. Each were snuggled warmly in their beds and each felt an excitement course through them that brought sweet dreams of a beautiful city where all people were exceedingly happy.

As Daniel slept soundly atop of the hay, his mother appeared in a dream again and said, "Daniel, you are now in a valley of humans and you will help many of them receive pure hearts." "Today you will meet a family who will care for and love you; they will assist you and help you to fulfill your mission." She also told Daniel that he would become as one of their own family members and would even be able to appear as a human when it was helpful to do so. Discussion and Activity

Discuss the following activities that you can do to help you live a long and happy life:
              1. Good Food and Drink: Daniel will be very hungry when he awakes in the morning. 2. 2. Physical Activity: If you want to live to long and be happy you must work, exercise, play sports, and do other things to move your body. Just as you must go potty each day to get rid of the left over waste that comes from foods you eat, each cell in your body uses the nutrients they receive from the foods you eat. After consuming those nutrients, your cell also go potty or expel waste. These leave the cell and go into the fluids that exist around your cells. These fluids must be cleaned up or the body becomes toxic and sick. Only through physical movement are these fluids cleaned up and and returned to the bloodstream. You must exercise or be involved in physical activity each day in order to continually remove toxins from your body. Your body is beautiful, strong, and capable. Protect it and take care of it. Find some form of exercise you love, whether it is to mow lawns, go hiking, swimming, bicycling, or otherwise and do it daily. Remember, choose physical activities you enjoy and enjoy them often.
